Coins for Kids

Harvey Dunn Elementary is participating in Coins for Kids!  Your child will be bringing home a canister this week to participate.  Coin canisters are due back to school by Wednesday, November 9th.  We will be having a friendly competition to see which class collects the most coins.

More information about Coins for Kids:

Coins for Kids is a partnership between Sioux Empire United Way and the local school districts to make a difference in our community. Each fall, elementary students get the chance to donate money to help other kids in their towns. Money that is donated goes towards purchasing books for children in our community through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Last year, students donated over $20,917, supplying over 9,500 books to young children in our area. Imagination Library provides the opportunity for children 0-5 years of age to receive a book each month sent directly to the child, building family libraries and strengthening a family's pattern of reading together.
