All students in the Sioux Falls School District will have a Remote Learning Day on Friday, January 23, 2026 due to the extreme cold temperatures. Students will not have in-person learning, but instead are expected to connect to their Canvas account for assignments and learning resources. Teachers will make materials available by 9am and be available for questions until 3pm. Students brought home either an iPad or Chromebook to complete this work. Technology should be returned on Monday.
Additionally, there are no morning practices or activities and all middle school events are cancelled for the day. High school students with afternoon, evening, and weekend events should watch for communication from their school regarding those activities.

Families are encouraged to stay inside, and if you must go out, please wear the appropriate winter weather gear, including hats, gloves, boots and layered clothing. Stay warm and stay safe!
