We have become aware of a scam circulating that appears as if SFSD Child Nutrition Coordinator Gay Anderson is asking people to go out and purchase large dollar amounts of gift cards. Gay has NOT sent out a text or an email. Her communication devices appear to have been hacked. Please delete any communication and do not follow through with the request. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day and we are celebrating teachers at Harvey Dunn Elementary! Because our teachers and staff lift us up, we would like to return the favor and “lift UP” our teachers with notes/letters/positive messages during this week. To participate, send a "lifting UP" message with your student any day this week. Thank you for helping us celebrate our amazing teachers at Harvey Dunn!

The stats are troubling-47% of SFSD students qualify for free/reduced lunches. Their family's income is not enough to make ends meet. That makes it difficult to support school fundraisers. Operation Hope & Caring helps! Get your tickets to the SF STORM game to support schools!

Today we launched our One Book One School! We will be reading The One and Only Bob by Katherine Applegate. The One and Only Bob is about a dog named Bob who goes with his owner Julia to the zoo to visit his best friends Ruby and Ivan.
We launched our book study with a fun game of Family Feud to test our teachers' knowledge of favorite animals of our Harvey Dunn students. We look forward to the reading and many experiences we will share over the next 5 weeks! Feel free to join in at home!
